Thanksgiving Fun2014 November 19
Thanksgiving is right around the corner bringing with it food, family, football and more food. It is a time to reflect on what we are thankful for by slowing down to appreciate it all. One way to slow down and enjoy the pre-Thanksgiving prep is to get the family involved making decorations and fun edible projects. Create a Festive Table Nature Placemats This great activity gets everyone outside for a little bit to collect nature items to put on the placemats. If your kids still want to do more once the handprint and leaves are finished, give them some crayons and have them color the placemats. For complete directions, visit Momma’s Fun World. Napkin Rings Made from toilet paper/paper towel rolls and construction paper, these adorable napkin rings are easy to make and sure to a hit with your Thanksgiving guests. Visit Kitchen Counter Chronicles for step-by-step instructions. Giving Thanks
Edible Projects These cute projects not only look good, but are also good to eat. Kids love to help in the kitchen, so this allows them a chance to do that and create fun Thanksgiving edibles. Cute Food For Kids has 30 different crafts to make. And for the complete instructions for the handprint cookies visit Somewhat Simple.
If you have any other great ideas to share, please leave them in the comment box below. Happy Thanksgiving!
